MMS Log 7: Busan Travels
The trio took a trip way down south to the city of Busan. We chose to travel there by the Mugunghwa Train line, which is 2 hours longer than the speed train KTX. Tickets are one way, and the standard tickets are KRW27,300 while standing tickets are KRW23,200.

I recommend that you purchase standard tickets because 5 hours of travel is long, and you will not have a seat for standing tickets. You can wait for someone to alight from the train but someone else will probably have reserved seats for it at the same station or the subsequent ones. During the weekends, you'll see plenty of people seated on the floor of the snack cart because they don't have seats. If not, you'll have someone hovering over you waiting for a seat to be available.
The trio had found a hostel near Haeundae so it made it easy for us to visit the beach. The hostel is called Miss Egg. There is the first branch Mister Egg that we couldn't get rooms for.
Our rooms were named after k-pop groups |
Communal taps |
Designated toilets for each room |
Other than the toilet situation, the rooms are pretty good. Each room holds 2 bunk beds and a vanity table. No wardrobe; no TV. They have wifi and a chill area in the living room. No breakfast is served either; but you can make coffee or microwave a snack.
Advice: If you are planning to book this hostel, then I'd suggest train tickets straight to Haeundae Station. Haeundae Station is about five minutes walk from Mister and Miss Egg Hostels while Busan Station is about half an hour away.
